The heart is an important part of the human body. Everything in human life depends on the performance of the heart. At present many people are suffering from heart problems. Different types of heart disease occur in human body.
Types of heart disease
Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis, Angina
pectoris, Myocardial infarction, etc.
1. What is Atherosclerosis?
Fat accumulation in the blood
vessel lining reduces the diameter of the blood vessel cavity and makes the
lining of the blood vessel uneven, called atherosclerosis.
2. What is Thrombosis?
Atherosclerosis causes the nuclei
to break when they come in contact with the uneven surface of the blood
vessels. As a result, blood clots form in the blood vessels. This is called
thrombosis.
3. What is Angina Pectoris?
Angina pectoris is the pain that is
felt in the heart when the blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart is low.
4. What is Myocardial Infarction?
Myocardial infarction is a
condition in which the heart is depleted of oxygen and nutrients.
Causes of heart disease:
People can get heart attack for
various reasons. –
1. Hereditary causes are more
likely to be due to hereditary factors than if a person's ancestor had heart
disease.
2. High levels of animal proteins,
fats, cholesterol and simple sugars in the diet increase the levels of
triglycerides, LDL cholesterol in the blood and lower the levels of HDL
cholesterol. This increases the chances of heart disease.
3. Excessive stress, overwork
increases the risk of heart disease.
4. If a person is obese or has
diabetes mellitus or high blood pressure, his or her risk of heart disease
increases.
5. Even if a person smokes excessively,
he can often get heart attack.
